Navigate Reed Heights (Reed Heights South) in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key evidence, optional objectives, and essential tips for this section of the walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1The "Charon" Ship: Your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, Camera, Pistol). Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an "eyeball" symbol appears and pressing X. Collect additional evidence: Photo of a trophy plate (use camera on the fish) and a Flyer (examine on the desk). Lootable objects like lockers can be reset and looted repeatedly for ammo and crafting materials.
- 2Exit the Boat and Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Climb onto the dock (Triangle). Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue choices to advance are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" locks out some optional dialogue branches.
- 3Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Ascend the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue choices to advance are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".
- 4Optional: Titania Lifeboat: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, you can investigate it. Return to the sign, go left down a path, and turn left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect additional evidence: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, rotate and search the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and find "Albert Throgmorton's will" on a seat. Climbing inside the lifeboat (Triangle) is required for some items.
- 5Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (Necronomicon Edition/DLC) is powerful but consumes ammo quickly; save it for critical moments.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly looted after resetting the area.
- Be cautious when examining the Diving Helmet in the lifeboat, as it drains sanity.
- Optional conversations provide lore and world-building but are not required for game progression.
