Follow our comprehensive walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, detailing key evidence, optional investigations, and NPC interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1On the "Charon" ship, collect your key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Use the Camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence).
- 3Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of where you collected your belongings (Additional Evidence).
- 4Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
- 5Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye."
- 6Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the exit and go up the stairs.
- 7Speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going."
Tips
- The Necronomicon Edition or DLC includes a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This gun uses bullets quickly; save the initial clip for special occasions.
- Consider putting any starting Skill Point into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be searched repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents are randomized.
- Reloading your gun: Equip your gun via the L1 weapon wheel, then press Square to reload.
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA" (Additional Evidence).
- Examine the Diving Helmet. Rotate it to find the front faceplate and search it. Be mindful that looking at the helmet too long will drain your sanity.
- Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the lifeboat seats (Additional Evidence).
- Climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some evidence.
- Finding the will unlocks an optional conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Clearing this optional investigation site grants an extra 140 XP.
