Navigate Salvation Harbor in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers key evidence, optional investigations, and character interactions to help you progress.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect all key evidence to receive bonus XP.
- Key Evidence: Your belongings on the table.
- 2Letter from J. van der Berg: Found by taking the briefcase.
- 3Camera: A usable item for taking pictures as evidence. Examine the pistol by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears and pressing X. You receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 4Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the fish mounted on the wall using your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 5Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 6Johannes van der Berg: After leaving the ship, climb onto the dock (Triangle). Engage in conversation. To advance, select: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.'. Note that choosing specific dialogue options locks out others.
- 7Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Stairs will lead to a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', 'I'll be going.'. Optional questions can be asked, but selecting 'I'll be going.' ends the conversation.
- 8Robert's Request (Optional Investigation - Lifeboat Titania): Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collecting evidence here grants bonus XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Additional Evidence: Inspect the 'TITANIA' name on the Lifeboat. Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain). Find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat inside the lifeboat (climb inside using Triangle).
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (Necronomicon Edition/DLC) is powerful but consumes ammunition quickly; save its initial clip.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. More valuable loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- The diving helmet in the optional lifeboat investigation drains sanity; do not hold it for too long.
