Navigate Grimhaven Bay East in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive walkthrough. Discover key evidence, optional investigations, and character interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, Pistol). To collect the pistol, examine it by rotating until an 'eyeball' symbol appears and press X. You'll receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your gun (hold L1, select weapon, press Square).
- 2Additional Evidence on Ship: Take a photo of the mounted fish with your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable contents are randomized (ammo, crafting materials) and reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Casebook Task: Letter from J. van der Berg: Exit the boat by pressing Triangle to climb onto the dock. Speak with Johannes van der Berg. Key conversation choices to advance: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that optional dialogue branches are lost after certain choices.
- 5Casebook Task: Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the "exit" and go up the stairs to speak with Robert Throgmorton. Key conversation choices to advance: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".
- 6Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat: Return to the sign. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. This is optional and doesn't add to your casebook but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 7Titania Lifeboat Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA". Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain). Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect evidence.
Tips
- Collecting all evidence in a location before finishing grants an additional 140 XP.
- The Submachine Gun (Necronomicon Edition/DLC) is powerful but consumes ammo quickly; save its initial clip.
- Consider putting your free Skill Point (DLC) into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammo and crafting materials. Higher amounts of loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
- The diving helmet in the Titania Lifeboat drains sanity; do not hold it for too long.
- Returning Albert's Will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an optional conversation.
