Complete walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission. Find key evidence, optional items, and navigate conversations with Johannes van der Berg and Robert Throgmorton.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the Charon ship, collect the key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Collect the additional evidence: photograph the mounted fish with your camera and examine the flyer on the desk.
  3. 3
Loot the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be reset and looted again.
  4. 4
Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle).
  5. 5
Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Choosing "I need somewhere to stay" locks out other dialogue branches.
  6. 6
Proceed north along the pier to a sign. Turn right towards the exit and go up the stairs.
  7. 7
Speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert," "Tell me more about the case," and finally "I'll be going." Other dialogue options are optional.

Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat

  1. Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
  2. Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA".
  3. Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to find a search prompt on the front faceplate. Be aware that looking at the helmet drains sanity.
  4. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the lifeboat seats. You may need to climb inside (Triangle).
  5. Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an optional conversation.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds are a reward for the Necronomicon Edition or DLC. Use the initial clip sparingly as .45 ACP rounds are scarce early on.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into "Absolute Clarity" for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be looted repeatedly after they reset.
  • The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but grants 140 XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
