Oakmont Police Department (8)

Upon arriving at the Oakmont Police Department (8), locate and collect your personal belongings from the table. This includes your briefcase, which contains the Letter from J. van der Berg.

Examine the Pistol to collect it. You will need to rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle and press X to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your weapon before use.

Use your Camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall for additional evidence.

Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings for more optional evidence.

Loot the Locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.

After collecting the necessary evidence, proceed to the dock and speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select the dialogue options to advance the conversation: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.".

Follow the pier north and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. Ascend the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.

During your conversation with Robert Throgmorton, select the following dialogue options to advance the game: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".

For the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation: return to the sign, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea. You will find the lifeboat beyond police barricades.

Within the Lifeboat Titania, inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be mindful of sanity drain when examining the diving helmet.

Returning Albert's Will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
