Alright, so you've just wrapped up 'A Delicate Matter' and reported the stolen purchase to Robert Throgmorton. He'll give you this new side case, 'Through the Looking Glass,' and grant you permission to search his son Francis's study at Throgmorton Manor. Head upstairs and use the key Robert gave you to unlock the door. Inside the study, look for a newspaper article titled "Exclusive Interview!" about Francis's African expedition. You'll also find a framed picture of a gorilla with "Rosie, 1891" on it. Now, use your Mind's Eye on some illusory boxes on the desk. This will reveal a safe containing half of a framed picture and some 'Private correspondence.' This correspondence hints at Francis's attempt to divorce his wife, Bethany Throgmorton. To dig deeper, chat with Robert Throgmorton about his father's expedition and Bethany. Next up is the Oakmont State Asylum to find Bethany. After talking to the receptionist, you'll learn she's gone missing and apparently drew strange things on her room's walls. Outside her room, you'll find a broken mirror and a bottle of medicine – examine both. Inside her room, you'll see more broken mirrors, defaced newspapers, and the other half of the framed photo. There's also a newspaper called "Throgmortons in Mourning" mentioning the death of Francis's firstborn, Hammond Throgmorton. On the bed, there's a book titled 'Bethany's note,' which reveals Bethany hired someone called 'Squint' (Philip O'Connel). Use your Mind's Eye on the picture on the wall and recreate the scene. You'll discover Bethany is heading to Randall Glassworks, believing the answers have been there since the last century. Don't forget to ask the receptionist about Bethany and mirrors for more clues. To find out more about Randall Glassworks, head to Oakmont City Hall and use the archives. Search for 'Enterprises,' '19th Century,' and the 'Salvatoin Harbor' district. You'll find a document titled 'Randall Glassworks' with the factory's address: southern Salvation Harbor, Skipper Rd between Eel St and Calmshore St. Now, make your way to Randall Glassworks. On the ground floor, you'll encounter some Wylebeasts. Look for glass-making tools on a table and a bottle of solution on a cart near the basement stairs. In the basement, there's another unusual Wylebeast and a locked door. Upstairs, you'll find some squatters hiding from the Wylebeasts. They know Bethany and mention she was behind the locked door in the basement. They'll give you a key. Use the key to open the basement door. Inside, you'll see a large broken mirror. Using your Mind's Eye, you'll witness Bethany walking through it to 'Randall's house.' On the opposite shelf, you'll find 'Randall's diary,' revealing that Francis Throgmorton actually put his son Hammond into the Mirrorways instead of killing him. To the left of the mirror, there's a 'Search warrent.' Behind an illusion on the far wall, you'll find a book called the 'Mirrorways.' To find the mirror maker's house, return to the Oakmont Police Department and check the archives for the search warrant. Look under 'Crimes: complaints,' 'Subjects: suspects,' and 'Evidence: Documentation.' You'll find a document titled 'Mirror-maker's house,' giving you the address of Gaunter Randall's house: Oldgrove, the corner of windhalf Ave and Goldbridge Rd.
