Learn how to complete 'My Police Record' in The Sinking City 2. This guide covers all objectives, evidence, and tips for this early-game mission.
Walkthrough
- 1Investigate the "Charon" Ship: This is your first investigation area. Collect all key evidence: your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X.
- 2Collect Additional Evidence: Take a photo of the fish trophy on the wall with your camera. Examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, you'll automatically speak with him. Choose dialogue options to learn about the world and advance the conversation. Key options to progress are "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye."
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north from the ship, turn right at the sign pointing to the exit and bar, and go up the stairs. You'll automatically start a conversation with him. Key dialogue options to advance are "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going."
- 6Optional: Investigate the Titania Lifeboat: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about his son's whereabouts, he'll give you directions to the lifeboat. Return to the sign, go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Collect the additional evidence: inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (be mindful of sanity drain), and find Albert Throgmorton's will on a seat.
- 7Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert to unlock an additional conversation.

- Lootable objects provide infinite ammunition and crafting materials.
- Conversations with NPCs offer world-building but are not always essential for mission progression. Choose dialogue carefully to avoid missing optional information.
- The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation that rewards extra XP and an additional conversation, but is not required to complete the main case.
- Progression to the next stage of the main case.
- XP bonuses for collecting all evidence and completing optional investigations.
