Charon Ship Investigation: As your first investigation location, collect all key evidence. This includes your belongings (briefcase), the Letter from J. van der Berg, the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears and press X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.

Additional Evidence on Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk.

Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials.

Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After leaving the ship, you will speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select dialogue options related to your problem, finding Robert Throgmorton, needing a place to stay, Devil's Reef, and then say goodbye.

Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.

Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: To advance, select dialogue options about his son's fate, the Innsmouthers, the visions, your offer to find Albert, and then 'Tell me more about the case' (Robert's Request).

Optional: Titania Lifeboat Investigation: Return to the sign, go left down a path, and left towards the sea. Inspect the Lifeboat Name 'TITANIA', the Diving Helmet (rotate and examine the front faceplate), and Albert Throgmorton's will. Be cautious as examining the diving helmet drains sanity.

Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding the will, return to Robert Throgmorton to unlock an optional conversation.
