Follow our comprehensive guide to The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, covering all key evidence, optional tasks, and NPC interactions to ensure a smooth progression.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
On the Ship: Collect your belongings (briefcase, Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, Pistol). Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and pressing X. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note that your gun is not loaded and requires reloading (L1 for weapon wheel, then Square).
  2. 2
Optional Ship Evidence: Use your Camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk. Search the locker to the right of the desk for randomized loot.
  3. 3
Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Choose dialogue options to advance the conversation: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.". Note that choosing "Goodbye." ends the conversation permanently.
  4. 4
Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. You will automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
  5. 5
Optional: Investigate Titania Lifeboat: After speaking with Robert, return to the sign and go left down a path, then left towards the sea. Find the lifeboat beyond police barricades. Collect the following optional evidence: Inspect the 'TITANIA' nameplate, rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate (be mindful of sanity drain), and pick up 'Albert Throgmorton's will' from a seat. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle).
  6. 6
Return to Robert Throgmorton: After finding Albert's Will, return to Robert to unlock an optional conversation.
Tips
  • If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as ammo is scarce.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents reset when you leave and return to the area.
  • The Titania Lifeboat investigation is optional but rewards extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
