Learn how to complete the Revised Testimony section in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide, covering all objectives and necessary steps.
Walkthrough
- 1The 'Charon' Ship: This is your initial investigation location. Collect all key evidence: your belongings on the table (briefcase, camera, pistol). To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence on the Ship: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall. Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 3Lootables: Search the locker to the right of the desk. Lootable objects can be searched repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 4Exiting the Ship: After collecting your belongings, you can leave the ship.
- 5Speaking with Johannes van der Berg: Climb onto the dock (Triangle). You will automatically start a conversation. Select the following dialogue options to advance: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', 'Goodbye.'
- 6Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier. Turn right at the sign pointing to the bar and exit. Go up the stairs to start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- 7Speaking with Robert Throgmorton: Select the following dialogue options to advance: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', 'I'll be going.'
- 8Optional: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign pointing to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. You'll find the lifeboat beyond police barricades.
- 9Evidence at the Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat name 'TITANIA'. Rotate the Diving Helmet and search its front faceplate. Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect evidence. Be cautious, as looking at the diving helmet for too long drains sanity.
- 10Returning the Will: After finding Albert's Will, you can return to Robert Throgmorton to give him the will, unlocking an optional conversation.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun (if owned via DLC) is powerful but consumes ammunition quickly; save its initial clip for important moments.
- Consider investing the free Skill Point (if applicable) into the 'Absolute Clarity' Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects reset when you leave and return to the area, allowing for repeated collection of materials and ammo.
- Be aware that areas with abundant loot may indicate a higher danger level.
- The Lifeboat Titania is an optional investigation that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton, but its evidence is not required for case progression.
Completing the 'Revised Testimony' objectives and optional evidence collection can lead to increased XP and a deeper understanding of the game's narrative through optional conversations.
