This guide details how to find the Key for Vilma's Room in The Sinking City 2, including all necessary steps and locations to progress through the game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon boarding the 'Charon' ship, collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Letter from J. van der Berg, Camera, and Pistol.
  2. 2
Examine the Pistol by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and pressing 'X'. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  3. 3
Use the Camera to take a photo of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence).
  4. 4
Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table (Additional Evidence).
  5. 5
Loot the locker to the right of the desk.
  6. 6
Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using 'Triangle'.
  7. 7
Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance, select: 'About my problem.', 'Where is Robert Throgmorton?', 'I need somewhere to stay.', 'How do I get to Devil's Reef?', and 'Goodbye.'.
  8. 8
Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign towards the bar/exit.
  9. 9
Speak with Robert Throgmorton. To advance, select: 'What happened to your son?', 'Who are the Innsmouthers?', 'What do you know about the visions?', 'I can try to find Albert.', 'Tell me more about the case.', and 'I'll be going.'.

Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat

  1. From the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path and then left towards the sea.
  2. Inspect the Lifeboat Name 'TITANIA'.
  3. Rotate the Diving Helmet and examine the front faceplate. Be mindful of sanity drain.
  4. Collect 'Albert Throgmorton's will' from a seat inside the lifeboat.
  5. Climb inside the lifeboat using 'Triangle' to collect evidence.
  6. Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
Tips
  • Collecting all evidence in a location grants an additional 140 XP.
  • The Necronomicon Edition or DLC includes a Submachine Gun and .45 ACP rounds. Use the initial clip sparingly.
  • Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a symbol) can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials. More loot may indicate a more dangerous area.
  • Conversations with NPCs offer world-building but are not always essential for game progression. Be aware that selecting specific dialogue options can close off other conversation branches permanently.
  • XP for collected evidence.
  • Potential bonus XP for completing optional investigations.
  • Access to additional dialogue and lore.
