    First off, head deeper into the cavern. You'll find some much-needed ammo stashed in a couple of crates. Grab it!

    Next, you'll come across a cultist praying at a podium. Approach them and initiate a conversation. You'll ask if you control Graham, and they'll respond.

    After this chat, you'll snag a new clue for your Mind Palace: [The church can control Graham], and also the Cultist's testimony, which is Key Evidence 1/2.

    Now, things get hairy. A massive maw in the center of the cavern is going to turn hostile, and some cultist humans will join the fray.

    Pro-Tip: You *can* just run past everyone, grab two documents you'll find, and make a break for your diving suit to escape. However, you'll miss out on a good chunk of experience and a missable achievement/trophy, so I don't recommend it.

    The humans are pretty easy to deal with – headshots are your friend here. The maw, likely the Fecund Mother, will start spitting out globs of greenish-yellow goo. These explode after a short time.

    You can actually pick these globs up and toss them back at her for damage. Be careful though, they can explode in your hands and hurt you! If you have Hand Grenades, they're a much simpler and safer option.

    As you damage the Fecund Mother, she'll spawn three small, multi-armed creatures. Take them out quickly. Watch out, though – sometimes the Mother can kill these little guys herself, which means you'll miss out on some XP.

    Keep up the assault with your grenades and ammo. After enough damage, the Fecund Mother will either be destroyed or at least driven back.
Tips
  • Make sure you have plenty of Hand Grenades before this section. They make dealing with the Fecund Mother much easier.
  • Prioritize headshots on the human cultists to conserve ammo and time.
  • Don't miss the opportunity to grab the documents and the Cultist's testimony.
  • Be aware of the missable achievement/trophy – fighting the Fecund Mother is the way to go if you want it.
  • Keep an eye on your XP gain – you'll get +20 XP for each of the three wylebeasts you defeat, plus more for the Fecund Mother herself.
