Walkthrough
- 1Collect Your Belongings: On the table in front of you on the ship. This is Key Evidence.
- 2Examine the Pistol: Pick up the pistol, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 3Take a Photo of the Fish: Use your camera to photograph the trophy plate of the strange fish mounted on the wall. This is Additional Evidence.
- 4Examine the Flyer: Look at the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings. This is Additional Evidence.
- 5Speak to Johannes van der Berg: Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock (Triangle). Select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", "Goodbye.".
- 6Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Climb the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", "I'll be going.".
Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left toward the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- Inspect the Lifeboat Name: Examine the name "TITANIA" on the lifeboat. This is Additional Evidence.
- Examine the Diving Helmet: Rotate the helmet and examine the front faceplate. Be quick, as your sanity will drain. This is Additional Evidence.
- Find Albert Throgmorton's Will: Locate and pick up the letter on one of the seats inside the lifeboat. This is Additional Evidence.
- After finding the will, you can return to Robert Throgmorton to give him the will for an additional conversation.
Tips
- If you own the Necronomicon Edition or DLC, you receive a Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds. This gun uses ammo quickly, so save the initial clip.

- Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation grants an additional 140 XP and unlocks an optional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
