Navigate Coverside West in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Discover key evidence, optional investigations, and essential tips for progression.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The "Charon" Ship: Your first investigation location. Collect key evidence: your belongings (briefcase containing a Letter from J. van der Berg), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an "eyeball" symbol appears and press X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  2. 2
Optional Evidence on the Ship: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall (Additional Evidence). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence). Search the locker to the right of the desk for random loot.
  3. 3
Departing the Ship: After collecting your belongings, you can leave the ship. You will automatically speak with Johannes van der Berg on the dock. Choose dialogue options to progress: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye."
  4. 4
Finding Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign. Ascend the stairs to automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Choose dialogue options to progress: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".
  5. 5
Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: From the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path and left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades. Collect Additional Evidence: Inspect the "TITANIA" nameplate, examine the Diving Helmet (rotate and search the front faceplate), and pick up "Albert Throgmorton's will" from a seat. You will need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some evidence. This optional investigation rewards 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds are provided if you purchased the Necronomicon Edition or associated DLC. This weapon consumes ammunition rapidly.
  • If you received a free Skill Point from DLC, it is recommended to invest it in the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be repeatedly searched for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents are randomized.
  • When examining the Diving Helmet in the Lifeboat Titania, your sanity will slowly drain. Do not hold it for too long.
Collecting all key evidence on the ship grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Lifeboat Titania investigation also grants 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
