A comprehensive guide to Reed Heights (4) in The Sinking City, detailing key evidence, optional items, and walkthrough steps to help you progress through the game.
Walkthrough
- 1Collect Key Evidence on the "Charon" Ship: Your primary objective is to collect your belongings from the table. This includes your Camera and Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine it by rotating it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle and press X. You will also receive a Letter from J. van der Berg when you take your briefcase.
- 2Collect Additional Evidence on the "Charon" Ship: Use your camera to take a picture of the Photo of a trophy plate (a strange fish mounted on the wall). Examine the Flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings.
- 3Lootable Objects: Search the Locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable objects can be reset and looted again.
- 4Speak with Johannes van der Berg: After collecting your belongings, you will automatically speak with Johannes van der Berg. Select dialogue options to advance the conversation, such as "About my problem," "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay," "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye." Note that some dialogue options are missable.
- 5Find Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit. You will automatically begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton as you go up the stairs.
- 6Speak with Robert Throgmorton: Select dialogue options to advance the conversation, such as "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going." Some dialogue options are missable.
- 7Optional: Investigate the Titania Lifeboat: If you ask Robert Throgmorton about the lifeboat, you can find it by returning to the sign, going left down a path, and then left towards the sea.
- 8Collect Evidence at the Titania Lifeboat: Inspect the lifeboat's name (TITANIA), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate it and look at the front faceplate), and pick up Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be cautious as looking at the diving helmet drains sanity.
- 9Return Albert's Will: After finding the will, you can return it to Robert Throgmorton for an additional conversation.

- Collecting all key evidence on the "Charon" ship grants an additional 140 XP.
- Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation grants an additional 140 XP and an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
