Navigate the House in Salvation Harbor in The Sinking City 2. Find key evidence, complete objectives, and uncover the mysteries within this walkthrough.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon arriving at the 'House in Salvation Harbor', your primary objective is to locate and collect specific pieces of evidence.
- 2The first key evidence is your own belongings, which must be collected from a table. This action also grants you the 'Letter from J. van der Berg'.
- 3Next, locate the 'Camera'. This item is crucial for taking photographs that can serve as evidence.
- 4Find the 'Pistol'. To collect it, pick it up, rotate it until an 'eyeball' symbol appears on the handle, and then press 'X' to examine it. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Remember to reload your weapon before use.
- 5For additional evidence, use your camera to photograph the mounted fish on the wall.
- 6Examine the flyer located on the desk to the left of where you collected your belongings.
- 7Lootable objects, marked with a specific symbol, can be found throughout the area, such as a locker to the right of the desk. These can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials.
- 8After collecting the necessary evidence, exit the boat by climbing onto the dock using the 'Triangle' button.
- 9Engage in a conversation with Johannes van der Berg. Select dialogue options related to your problem, where Robert Throgmorton is, and finding a place to stay to progress. Be aware that choosing certain dialogue options will lock out others.
- 10Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing towards the exit and a bar.
- 11Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. Discuss his son Albert, the Innsmouthers, and his visions. You can also accept 'Robert's Request' to find Albert.
- 12An optional investigation area, the 'Titania Lifeboat', can be accessed by returning to the sign, going left down a path, and then left towards the sea.
- 13At the Titania Lifeboat, inspect the 'TITANIA' nameplate, the 'Diving Helmet' (rotating it to find a search prompt), and 'Albert Throgmorton's will' on a seat. Be cautious as the diving helmet can drain sanity.
- 14Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an additional conversation.
Tips
- DLC owners may receive a Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds. Use these sparingly as they deplete quickly.
- Consider investing an early Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects reset when you leave and re-enter an area, allowing for repeated collection of resources.
- Be mindful of the sanity drain when examining the Diving Helmet in the optional lifeboat investigation.
- Dialogue choices with NPCs can affect available conversation branches and information.
Collecting all key evidence in a location before concluding a case grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation provides an extra 140 XP and unlocks an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
