Navigate Salvation Harbor East in The Sinking City 2 with our comprehensive guide. Find key evidence, complete optional objectives, and uncover the secrets of this critical location.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon arriving in the city, the "Charon" ship serves as your first investigation location. Collect your belongings from the table.
  2. 2
Key Evidence on the ship: Your belongings, the Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), the Camera, and the Pistol. To collect the pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an eyeball symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
  3. 3
Additional Evidence on the ship: Use your camera to photograph the strange fish mounted on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate). Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings table.
  4. 4
After collecting evidence, exit the ship by climbing onto the dock (press Triangle).
  5. 5
Speak with Johannes van der Berg on the dock. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Note that choosing these options locks out other dialogue branches.
  6. 6
Proceed north along the pier to a sign pointing to a bar and an exit. Turn right towards the exit.
  7. 7
As you ascend the stairs, you will begin a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.". These choices lock out other dialogue branches.
  8. 8
Optional: Robert Throgmorton may mention the location of his son's lifeboat. Return to the sign pointing to the exit, go left down a path, and then left towards the sea to find the Titania Lifeboat.
  9. 9
Evidence in the Titania Lifeboat (Optional): Inspect the lifeboat name "TITANIA". Examine the Diving Helmet (rotate it and search the front faceplate; your sanity will drain while looking at it). Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect some items.
  10. 10
Returning Albert's will to Robert Throgmorton unlocks an optional conversation.
Tips
  • The Submachine Gun and .45 ABP rounds are included with the Necronomicon Edition or DLC. This weapon consumes ammunition rapidly.
  • Consider putting your free Skill Point (if obtained via DLC) into the "Absolute Clarity" Mind skill for a 5% XP bonus.
  • Lootable objects (marked with a specific symbol) can be searched repeatedly for ammunition and crafting materials. Their contents reset when you leave and return to the area. Be cautious, as abundant loot may indicate a dangerous area.
  • The Titania Lifeboat is an optional investigation site that provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton, but its evidence is not required for casebook progression.
  • Do not hold the diving helmet in the lifeboat for too long, as it will drain your sanity.
Collecting all evidence in a location before finishing the case grants an additional 140 XP. Completing the optional Titania Lifeboat investigation also provides XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
