Detailed walkthrough for The Sinking City 2's Coverside Central (13) section, covering key evidence, optional tasks, and character interactions to help you progress.
Walkthrough
- 1"Charon" Ship Investigation:
- Collect your belongings from the table. This includes the Letter from J. van der Berg (obtained by taking the briefcase), the Camera (usable item for taking pictures as evidence), and your Pistol.
- 2To collect the Pistol, pick it up, rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, and press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Note that your gun is not loaded and requires reloading (hold L1, select weapon, press Square).
- 3Additional Evidence:
- Use your camera to take a picture of the mounted fish on the wall (Photo of a trophy plate).
- 4Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Flyer).
- 5Lootables: A locker to the right of the desk can be repeatedly looted for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized.
- 6Johannes van der Berg Conversation:
- After collecting your belongings, climb onto the dock (press Triangle).
- 7Engage in conversation with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select:
- About my problem.
- 8Where is Robert Throgmorton?
- 9I need somewhere to stay.
- 10How do I get to Devil's Reef?
- 11Goodbye.
- 12Note that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" closes off other dialog branches. Saying goodbye ends the conversation permanently.
- 13Robert Throgmorton Conversation:
- Proceed north along the pier and turn right at the sign pointing to the exit.
- 14Go up the stairs to automatically start a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select:
- What happened to your son?
- 15Who are the Innsmouthers?
- 16What do you know about the visions?
- 17I can try to find Albert.
- 18Tell me more about the case.
- 19I'll be going.
- 20Optional questions can be asked, but selecting "I'll be going." ends the conversation permanently.
- 21Optional Investigation: Titania Lifeboat:
- Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path, then left towards the sea. The lifeboat is beyond police barricades.
- 22Evidence:
- Inspect the Lifeboat Name (TITANIA).
- 23Examine the Diving Helmet. Rotate it and search the front faceplate. Be aware that prolonged examination drains sanity.
- 24Find Albert Throgmorton's will on one of the seats. You may need to climb inside the lifeboat (Triangle) to collect it.
- 25Completing this optional investigation provides an additional 140 XP and unlocks an extra conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
