Follow our comprehensive guide to The Sinking City 2's 'A Frosty Welcome' mission, detailing key evidence, optional objectives, and character interactions.
Walkthrough
- 1'Charon' Ship Investigation: This is your first investigation location. Collect all key evidence to receive bonus XP.
- Key Evidence: Your belongings (briefcase containing the Letter from J. van der Berg), Camera, and Pistol. To collect the pistol, examine its handle until an eyeball symbol appears and press X. You will also receive 6 .38 pistol rounds.
- 2Additional Evidence: Use your camera to photograph the mounted fish (Photo of a trophy plate) and examine the flyer on the desk.
- 3Lootables: Search lockers and other lootable objects for ammunition and crafting materials. These reset upon leaving and returning to the area.
- 4Conversation with Johannes van der Berg: After leaving the ship, you'll speak with Johannes van der Berg. Key dialogue options to advance are: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and "Goodbye.".
- 5Conversation with Robert Throgmorton: Proceed north and turn right at the sign. You will meet Robert Throgmorton. Key dialogue options to advance are: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and "I'll be going.".
- 6Optional Investigation: Lifeboat Titania: Return to the sign pointing to the exit, then go left down a path and left towards the sea. This optional area provides extra XP and an additional conversation with Robert Throgmorton.
- Evidence: Inspect the Lifeboat Name ('TITANIA'), examine the Diving Helmet (rotate to find the front faceplate), and collect Albert Throgmorton's will from a seat. Be mindful of sanity drain when examining the helmet.
Tips
- The Submachine Gun and 30 .45 ABP rounds are included with the Necronomicon Edition or DLC. Use its initial clip sparingly as ammo is scarce early on.
- Consider investing a Skill Point into 'Absolute Clarity' for a 5% XP bonus.
- Lootable objects can be repeatedly searched for resources.
- When examining the Diving Helmet in the Lifeboat Titania, your sanity will drain; do not hold it for too long.
- Returning Albert Throgmorton's will to Robert unlocks an optional conversation.
