Begin by examining your belongings on the table in front of you. This includes taking your briefcase, which contains the Letter from J. van der Berg.

Collect the Camera, a usable item for taking pictures as evidence.

Pick up the Pistol. Rotate it until an "eyeball" symbol appears on the handle, then press X to examine it. You will receive 6 .38 pistol rounds. Ensure you reload your gun before firing.

Use your camera to take a picture of the strange fish mounted on the wall (Additional Evidence).

Examine the flyer on the desk to the left of your belongings (Additional Evidence).

Loot the locker to the right of the desk for ammunition and crafting materials. Lootable contents are randomized and can be reset by leaving and returning to the area.

Exit the boat by climbing onto the dock to your right using Triangle.

Speak with Johannes van der Berg. To advance the game, select the dialogue options: "About my problem.", "Where is Robert Throgmorton?", "I need somewhere to stay.", "How do I get to Devil's Reef?", and finally "Goodbye.". Be aware that selecting "I need somewhere to stay" closes off other dialogue branches.

Proceed north along the pier until you reach a sign with directions to a bar and an exit. Turn right.

Climb the stairs to initiate a conversation with Robert Throgmorton. To advance the game, select: "What happened to your son?", "Who are the Innsmouthers?", "What do you know about the visions?", "I can try to find Albert.", "Tell me more about the case.", and finally "I'll be going.".

Return to the sign that pointed to the exit. Go left down a path and turn left towards the sea. The lifeboat will be beyond police barricades.

Inspect the Lifeboat Name "TITANIA".

Examine the Diving Helmet, rotating it to look at the front faceplate and search. Be mindful of sanity drain while examining the helmet.

Collect Albert Throgmorton's will from one of the seats in the lifeboat. You may need to climb inside using Triangle.

Return to Robert Throgmorton and give him his son's will to unlock an optional conversation.
